The workshop is being held at the Drury Plaza Hotel, located at 828 Paseo de Peralta in Santa Fe, NM. The phone number for reservations is 1-800-325-0720, Group #2308089, or you can click HERE to make reservations.
Jim DeAngelo will teach a Floodplain Management Concepts class on Tuesday from 10:00am to 3:00pm. This class will be worth 4 CECs for CFMs.
ESP Associates and FEMA are teaming up to present a new Tuesday class, Intro to 2D Modeling with HEC-RAS, from 08:00 to 5:00 pm. This class will be worth 6 CECs to CFMs. Click HERE for a more detailed class description. Laptops are not required but it would be a good idea for people to bring them to be able to test out the software and modeling and to ask questions.
Also, for those who are interested, a walking tour of the downtown area of Santa Fe will be offered at 7:00 PM on Wednesday evening after the social. The fee for this tour is $25 paid prior to the tour. This signature Spirit Walk of Old Santa Fe is an adventurous journey "back in time" to Santa Fe's historic past. Infamous and famous spirits in full costume from from Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico's legendary past come alive as you visit Santa Fe's historic downtown. Cameras are a must. A fee for the tour will be collected as the tour begins. If you intend to take the tour, please check the box for the tour as you answer the questions on the registration page.
The New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (NMDHSEM) will again offer reimbursements for the Spring 2018 NMFMA Workshop. Reimbursement will be provided for eligible government employees. There will be a special session during the conference to assist members in filling out the proper forms.
